Paprika
I watched Paprika last night, I must say it's an exciting and enjoyable film. It's a Japanese sci-fi about dreams and how therapists are developing a device (DC Mini) to help patients by entering their dreams. The best part of the film is not the story or the visuals, it's the soundtrack. Performed by Susumu Hirasawa, the music adds even more to the experience specially when it weaves in and out of dream worlds in parallel.

Firefox 5th Anniversary
Mitchell Baker was in Amman to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the best browser in the planet, the event was great and so was the cake. I hope I can get some pictures soon.

Brazil in 2009

The Brazilian government released recently a report on the status of social inclusion and economy markers. I found report well written and organized, you can download it at this link (in English).
Iftar at the Intercontinental Jordan
Tonight's dinner was pretty good, lots of good food (and many sweets, too many...) and we got to meet people from the company that I've never seen before. Group picture coming soon.
And this week's highlight is the Ramadan Contest we're running on ShooFeeTV. Check it out and you might even get a 100$ prize for voting on your favorite program during this month.
And with this, I go to sleep.
ShooFeeTV.com a comprehensive TV Guide for the Arab World

ShooFeeTV is a content provider and aggregator of Arab satellite channel listings. In addition to centralizing the times and channels for more than 120 channels on ArabSat and NileSat, the original content includes programming and who's who information, video clips, photographs and celebrity news.
ShooFeeTV's vision is to create an entertainment hub accessible across the Arab world and beyond. Plans are underway to include a free-to-air satellite television channel, mobile phone services, podcasts and content syndication through third-party feeds to the electronic and printed media.
The multimedia platforms suit the expansive site, one that is also supported by a database of entertainment information. With 100,000 entries already and increasing every day, users can search for their favorite films, actors and other trivia with a click of the mouse.
Users will also have the chance to express their opinions by rating and reviewing their favorite shows and movies.
The most popular will be highlighted on the home page.
In short, ShooFeeTV will revolutionize the way the Arab world sees television.
Brazilian sites using Drupal
So here's a short list with some of the best looking Brazilian Drupal sites I've been to.
Function to format CCK fields into HTML tables
I'm posting a function I found very useful when theming CCK powered node-type templates. It was written by David Thomas (dekita on #drupal-support) and like many of his ideas, this is a great one:
/**
* return cck fields formatted as table
*/
function phptemplate_content_format_table($node){
// get fields
$fields = content_fields(NULL, $node->type);
$header = array('', '');
$rows = array();
// loop through and check if field is set in node
foreach($fields as $fieldname => $field){
$row = array();
if(! empty($node->{$fieldname}[0]['value'])){
Brazilian restaurant in Jordan
Finally there's a churrascaria open in Amman! Fire of Brazil, the first Brazilian steakhouse to open in Jordan. In the Middle East I know there's Chamas in the UAE and some in Lebanon. Well the entry is 25JDs and they have guaraná ;P, it's definitely worth checking if you're Brazilian living in Amman, specially if you're gaúcho ;P
